Let’s think of systems that you can actually ask questions of - let’s start sketching a machine that can add. Inputs are the signals received and outputs signals that are sent.
What about power? Is energy an input? Without IO how do you know whether ssomething is doing anything? Ideas for mechanical I/O?
Punchcard is invented by Hermann something. Before that people are using train conductor punchers in order to punch the card, then they found this punchcard machine. women could do 700 different punchcard a day. Punchcard is used in Jacquard Loom. Those given inputs let’s talk about algorithms. basic arabic system, why would we want to change into mechanical system? Calculate the system through mechanical means.
Tally System sucks. it is based on 5 but it so hard to calculate it mechanically.
build one bit adder. multi- adder.
