Ilteris Kaplan
Staff Product Architect & Design Engineer
Most people see AI as a chatbot. I see it as a distributed systems problem.
I am a Staff Product Architect and Systems Engineer specializing in the "0 to 0.5" phase of innovation. I build the deterministic pipes and observability control planes required to transform non-deterministic models into steerable, capability-enhancing systems.
Currently at Google Cloud AI, I architected the "Poster Child" repository—a high-governance, production-grade blueprint that unified a fragmented agentic ecosystem. My work focuses on the intersection of Human Agency and Agentic Intelligence, reimagining UX as a steerable "Control Plane" for long-horizon autonomous trajectories.
This blog is a living archive of 20 years of technical signals—from early experiments in physical computing and legacy macOS graphics at NYU ITP to modern "Unix-for-AI" architectures.

The "Poster Child" Philosophy
Innovation without governance is just noise. My architectural philosophy centers on the Organizational Multiplier: building the tools that allow a team to execute at 10x velocity without sacrificing architectural integrity.
From the Google Cloud Next '25 Keynote to the Soul OS personal kernel, I build systems that treat intelligence as a first-class citizen of the operating environment—deterministic, observable, and always under human steering.
